Act Four: Live Out Your Highest Values
1 min read

If you can't do what you want, be it - my motto when things don’t go to plan!
There are lots of things that get in the way of our lifestyle choices, but very little stops us from growing in character - and focussing on such flourishing is the sturdiest, most sure-fire path to enjoying purpose in life. When we identify values we wish to embody, we give ourselves something certain and meaningful to strive towards in this otherwise uncertain world.
Uncovering these values is a solo venture; an exciting and unnerving time where we get to detangle what matters to us from what others have intimated ought to matter to us and I find it helpful here to remember there is no hierarchy of worth. From humour to hope and creativity to courage, we can live out each one mindful of our collective wellbeing as well as our own. And, when we do, I swear we glow even more! It's a total win!!
Unsure where to start? A question that's really helped me is, What values make you feel most connected to the world? Do you experience a sense of oneness when you’re being curious? Hopeful? Adventurous? Open? Inclusive? Begin your days with a conscious intent to embody these values - make them your compass - and see where you go!
Self-reflection
How are you embodying your values when it comes to your own wellbeing? If you value kindness, in which ways are or aren’t you you showing it to yourself? If forgiveness matters to you, is there anything you still need to forgive yourself for?
